SERVICE: A PERSONALIZED PLAN FOR EACH TRUCK

After an attentive evaluation of the forklift truck, the Assistance Team works out the proposal for Programmed Maintenance in agreement with the Customer. The plan is drawn up according to the machine, its state of use, the operating environment, the hours of work etc. The operations to be carried out are decided together with the Customer.

PROGRAMMED MAINTENANCE WORK

Programmed Maintenance allows diagnosing any faults or wear, preventing serious damage and limiting repairs. The service includes checking the safety devices, the operation of which is the competence of the employer, under the law. This maintenance is also contemplated by art. 35 of Legislative Decree  626/94……. “Companies must provide for the maintenance of the equipment through their resources or external specialized technicians.”

CHAIN INSPECTIONS

The quarterly inspections of the lifting chain are laid down by Presidential Decree 547/55 (art.179). These inspections are necessary in order to determine the lengthening of the chains during use; when this lengthening is greater than 3% of the original length, the chains have to be replaced. The EDOCAR group, through its technicians, makes these inspections during the programmed maintenance.

FORK INSPECTIONS

The annual inspection of the forks is laid down by Presidential Decree 547/55 ( art. 194). This inspection consists of a dimensional inspection and checking that the forks are intact (inspection method according to ISO 5057 and ISO 2330). The EDOCAR group, through its technicians, carries out this inspection during the programmed maintenance.

THE CERTAIN WAY TO ALWAYS HAVE THE VEHICLES IN A PERFECT CONDITION

During programmed maintenance, our technicians attentively inspect every part of the vehicle. If it is necessary to replace a spare part after normal wear, the technical does so directly with the authorization of the manager. At then end of the work, the technician inspects the forklift in the presence of the manager and fills in the programmed maintenance booklet. If the repair is expected to be major, Technical Assistance advises the customer and gives him a detailed estimate for the work and the part to be replaced.
