THE LAW

Legislative Decree no. 626/94 (articles 37-39) is on the use of work equipment. As forklift trucks are classified as equipment that requires particular knowledge and responsibilities, the Employer must ensure that all the employees receive specific training and “instruction necessary with regard to safety”. (The penalties for failing to train the employee include arrest for 2-6 months or a fine from € 500 to €4,200).

THE OBJECTIVES

Participants learn to drive the forklift truck and to handle goods, but above all to work in safety, avoiding dangerous situations. After gaining the capacity to correctly use the vehicle and take advantage of all its potential, the operators also improve their performance and optimize working time. As well as the forklift truck drivers, the training can also be of use for owners and managers who have to meet the safety regulations in the workplace.

THE DETAILS

The courses are normally held in the Training Area of the Edocar s.r.l. site, with a maximum number of 12 participants; during the courses, a theoretical session – supported by teaching material and the use of the “operator’s manual” – and a practical session are held. The trainers have been trained at the leading manufacturers of forklift trucks. The courses can be personalized according to the needs of the Customer and can take place at his premises. At the end of the course, the participants take a written test and a practical test. The certificates of attendance are sent to the company.
